Sterling Silver and Fossilized Ammonite Pendant
Ammonites were shelled cephalopods that died out about 66 million years ago. Fossils of them are found all around the world. I found these gems a while back at a rock show. The stones are polished to a bright shine and then wrapped in a Sterling Silver bezel. Shown pictured with a 4mm Rope chain ( not included) these are a lot lighter than they look. Weighing in at approximately 0.350 oz. they could likely be turned into a really cool set of earrings as well. their rough diameter is 29mm wide by 33mm tall minus the clasp and about 7mm thick at their widest.
