Sterling Silver "Turks Head" Knot Ring

from $50.00

A knot known well by sailors and Boyscouts alike, the Turks Head is a very popular design among those practicing decorative knot-work and marlinespike seamanship. With its mesmerizing and seemingly endless pattern, the knot has also been widely used as a symbol of love and continuous friendship. More commonly used to mark the “king spoke” on a sailing vessels wheel, it can also be seen sometimes holding together the bitter ends of a scouts neckerchief. It has even been documented in drawings by Leonardo DeVinci in the 15th century!

These timeless rings I’ve cast in durable Sterling silver, and are available in a multitude of sizes. Be sure to check out the other items in my line of Nauti-kool jewelry. You may just find a matching Turks Head bracelet or set of earrings!

All of my jewelry, with the exception of the commercially manufactured Italian chains, is custom made. Everything is hand poured by me and me alone. I start with .999 pure Silver bullion and alloy it down to the worldwide industry standard “Sterling Silver” of .925 purity for jewelry. .999 Silver is way too soft for the longevity of items like rings and such. During the alloying process NO NICKEL is ever used. I am extremely diligent of this as I myself have a Nickel allergy. From initial design to finished product I do it all. The end result is an heirloom quality piece of jewelry, you would be proud to pass down for generations to come.

(Legal disclaimer: You will be buying an item similar to the one shown. All measurements and weights are approximate. These items are handcrafted and can vary from piece to piece. As each item is hand-worked, they can include minor flaws and imperfections. This is normal and I feel it truly adds to their charm.)
