If you have ever been blessed with racing either the Port Huron to Mac, or the Chicago to Mac regattas, the Round Island lighthouse is a sight for sore eyes after a tough race. I know it is for me! I also know that the actual finish line is the South-east corner of the Round Island Lighthouse at 45°50.234 N and 084°37.018 W, and a point on Mackinac Island whose coordinates are 45°50.779 N and 084°37.131 . Round Island shoal buoy #5 is not part the finish line, but I like buoys and an earring of an imaginary spot on shore isn’t much fun now is it, lol. Cast in beautiful Sterling Silver this set includes my rendition of that iconic Lighthouse and the shoals watchful buoy. These earrings, like all of my jewelry, are designed and handcrafted by a sailor, for a sailor, or the sailor at heart!
