Sterling Silver "Memento Mori Carpe Diem" Ring

I’ve made this design in a pendant for a while now and I’ve had quite a few people ask for it in a ring. Usually I fabricate them using the pendant but I’ve done enough now that I should just cast them,… so now I do. Cast in Sterling Silver with a substantial band and a couple skulls on the sides this one is a heavy duty beauty. The phrase “Memento Mori Carpe Diem” embossed on the top is Latin. Loosely translated to “ Know that you must die, so seize the day”, words to live by! .

I acid wash these before polishing to darken the background and also hammer distress the band to give it a more rugged appearance. As the models for these are 3d printed in a castable wax before casting the size of them is appropriate to the band size. Smaller the ring, smaller the top.
