I do love making these large statement pieces!!! The stones I used for this gorgeous necklace are from a few different places. Some came from the Royston Mine in Nevada, and the rest came from both the Kingman Mine and Turquoise Mountain each located in Arizona. I really enjoy the way mixed Turquoise looks in a piece. Each stone is backed for long term protection as is most modern mined American Turquoise. This one also features my custom “Figure 8” link chain with a hand formed shepherds hook and ring clasp. This necklace is a longer one, the chain itself is roughly 34 inches long. The bottom cluster and feather make it hang even lower. Great piece for man or a woman. . All original design, completely handmade Sterling Silver mountings and chain. A piece of heirloom jewelry to be worn and passed from generation to generation.
As for the weight, its what you would expect with a larger necklace. The final weight of the entire necklace is about 7.5 ounces.
The coolest part of owning a piece like this is it looks just as good dressing up for a night on the town, or when wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Looks great with everything!
